The Spay and Neuter Assistance Program will be available next week in the capital city.
SPCA St. John’s will be reopening their SNAP program on Tuesday, July 25 at 5:00 p.m. The organization will be accepting 150 new applications for surgery dates between the end of August and the beginning of December.
Heather Howse with the SPCA says the program is available for pets six months and older. She says it helps those who may not be able to afford the surgery normally.
The program is available to single-income households making less than $20,000 a year, or double-income households making under $40,000.
Those looking to apply can do so online or by calling in once the program opens.
