The Mundy Pond Park Inclusive Playground has officially opened. A $1-million donation from Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart program helped make the project happen.

There has been a lot of construction activity in that area with the new $34-million Mews Centre. Councillor Jamie Korab says that facility should be ready late this year or early next.

Meanwhile, Korab says there are other such playgrounds around the city and this one will be a welcomed addition.

The city donated the land, Jumpstart donated a million dollars. Korab says people are very happy that the playground has opened.
