Police have released more details in their search for a wanted Marystown man.

Officers are continuing to search for Tony Farrell who they say is actively evading police.

RCMP confirm that he is armed with a firearm, and they want to ensure matters do not escalate. Police also suspect Farrell may be being assisted by someone, who is offering shelter or a vehicle. He abandoned his own vehicle during a tense search in Swift Current.

Residents are advised that anyone assisting Farrell may be placing themselves in jeopardy for possible charges if they are obstructing police.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Tony Farrell is asked to contact RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
