Municipal leaders from across the province are gathering at the St. John’s Convention Centre for MNL’s Annual General Meeting getting underway this afternoon.
The AGM begins this evening with a leadership summit for women and gender diverse individuals, followed by a presentation by Gerry Rogers on Come Home Queer.
Delegates get down to business on Thursday with sessions including the municipal role in housing, the recruitment of physicians and other health professionals, the impacts of climate change on infrastructure and sessions with the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and the release of the Municipal Assessment Agency’s 2023 Operational Report.
Premier Andrew Furey and Municipal Affairs Minister John Haggie will host a Premier’s Forum on Friday.
