The Newfoundland Growlers dropped two of three on the weekend at Mary Brown’s Centre – costly penalties late in two games were their undoing.
They won Friday night but surrendered winning goals late on Thursday and last night at the Mary Brown’s Centre against the Worcester Railers.
Zach O’Brien, their franchise leader in goals and games played, returned from Europe and was in the lineup, notching a goal in his first game back.
The Growlers now begin an 8-game road trip starting Friday night against the Reading Royals.
