For the first time in five years, Newfoundland and Labrador will have a direct air route to Europe.
WestJet today announced a long-awaited direct route from St. John’s to London Gatwick starting next year.
WestJet officials made the announcement this morning at The Majestic in St. John’s. The route is the first direct air connection between NL and Europe since 2019.
The St. John’s International Airport Authority has reached a three-year agreement with WestJet for the UK connection.
The flight will operate seasonally, three days a week, from May to October.
