While many are praising the new direct connection between St. John’s to the UK, the MHA for Labrador West says addressing the issues surrounding intraprovincial travel should also be a priority.
Jordan Brown says it’s “fine and dandy” to improve access to transatlantic travel, but he’s calling on government to also address the high costs associated with taking a flight within NL.
Depending on travel dates, it can be up to a hundred dollars cheaper to hop on a round-trip flight to London Gatwick over flying to Labrador out of St. John’s International.
Brown says the prices are “outrageous.”
This is all fine and dandy but when is this Liberal government going to address the exorbitant cost just to travel within our own Province!
It is outrageous the amount being charged to fly from anywhere inside NL into St Johns https://t.co/89Q2lkbjm3— Jordan Brown (@JordanLabCity) November 15, 2023
