Respiratory viruses have claimed six more lives in Newfoundland and Labrador.
The province’s new respiratory virus dashboard was updated earlier today, covering the reporting period of November 19th to the 25th.
For COVID, three new deaths are being reported. Nineteen people are in hospital, with nobody admitted to ICU.
In total, 134 new cases have been confirmed.
For influenza, there have also been three new deaths. Eleven people are in hospital with one in critical care. A total of 43 new cases have been confirmed.
Meanwhile, vaccination rates for both viruses are on the rise. Over 20 per cent of the eligible population have their flu shot, while 14 per cent are up-to-date on their COVID vaccine.
