RCMP were able to nab a pair of impaired drivers over the weekend.
Police were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on the Trans Canada near Holyrood during the supperhour on Friday. The driver took off on foot, but police caught up to him not far from the scene.
The 53-year-old driver was taken to the detachment where he blew over twice the legal limit.
On Sunday, RCMP in Glovertown were tipped off about a vehicle swerving along the roadways at a slow rate of speed. Once tracked down by police, the 47-year-old man provided breath samples more than two times the legal limit.
Both drivers are facing charges of impaired. Their licenses have been suspended and their vehicles impounded.
