A 32-year-old St. John’s man is facing impaired driving charges following a recent hit-and-run in the capital city.
The incident occurred Saturday afternoon on Bay Bulls Road.
Police say a black car rear-ended a vehicle, then sped away from the area with significant front end damage.
The RNC located the suspect vehicle pulling into a driveway in the Goulds, which then crashed into a shed on the property. The driver was arrested at the scene.
The accused is facing charges of impaired driving, refusing to provide a breath sample, and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
He’s also been ticketed for driving with a suspended licence, driving without insurance, and failure to transfer ownership of a vehicle.
