Manulife customers who rely on specialty medications to treat serious, chronic and often life-threatening conditions will be able to fill their prescriptions at any pharmacy of their choice.
Manulife came in for serious criticism last week after announcing that some 260 drugs would only be covered through Loblaw-affiliated pharmacies.
The company says it has listened to, and is addressing the concerns heard over the last week.
President and CEO Naveed Irshad says though the change announced last week affects “only a small number” of their members, they are partnering with pharmacies across the country to contribute to a strong and healthy Canadian health care system.
