A registered nurse is seeing great demand for mobile blood collection services.

Vicki Jones has been operating her “Vic the Vampire” mobile clinic for over a year, providing blood work, urine samples and injections for those with accessibility, transportation or scheduling issues in the comfort of their home.

She started the clinic after feeling jaded by the nursing world.

She says she was between jobs and had just lost her father, but knew she had the skills to help and decided to start the mobile clinic.

Jones says she has been extremely busy since opening in December 2022 and its only getting busier.

She says now that word-of-mouth is travelling, people are quite pleased the service exists.
