The Department of Transportation has been in conversation with officials in Nova Scotia to offer its help as that province continues to dig out from a major winter storm.
The system dumped more than 100 cm of snow on Cape Breton, prompting officials in the region to declare a State of Emergency.
Newfoundland and Labrador has been in contact with Nova Scotia to offer its assistance.
The department says at this time there are no plans to send snow clearing equipment across the Gulf, but the lines of communication remain open and NL is willing to help where it can.
