A local advocacy group is hosting a Valentine’s poetry and art event this week to highlight local Palestinian poetry.
The Palestine Action YYT group will feature readers including Sarah Khraishi, Shahd Abu Nahel, Bella Shakshir as well as Lisa Moore, and Maggie Burton among others.
The vent is taking place at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16 at the Benevolent Irish Society in St. John’s.
Tickets are available online through the Palestine Solidarity Action NL group on Instagram. Part of the proceeds from the event will go towards the GoFundMe set up to reunite the Kasken family in Newfoundland.
