Ronald McDonald House Charities has launched a new family cookbook in support of their food programs across the country.
The cookbook, developed in collaboration with celebrity chef Chuck Hughes, contains a collection of comfort recipes from RMHC families and volunteers.
The recipe from Newfoundland and Labrador is for vegetable pakora.
The book is free to download, and for every download RBC Insurance will make a donation to feed a family for a day, up to a maximum of $250,000.
The charity offers several food programs to families who stay with them, including on-site chefs, to-go meals for long hospital days, and meal deliveries at hospitals.
In this province RMHC served over 7,000 meals last year, a 6 per cent increase from the previous year.
