A $30 million, four-year agreement has been signed to help promote the tourism industry in Atlantic Canada.
Minister responsible for ACOA, Gudie Hutchings made the announcement this morning at the Quidi Vidi Artisan Studio.
The funding will be provided for the extension of the Atlantic Canada Agreement on Tourism.
Minister Hutchings says the funding will help local operators.
She says it will be focused on developing innovative marketing initiatives, expanding year-round tourism, and encouraging visitors to explore more of Atlantic Canada, and promoting higher-yield tourism experiences.
