Braya, the company that converted the old Come By Chance oil refinery into a renewable fuel production facility, is now in commercial operation.
The company first outlined its plans to convert the refinery back in 2021.
Cresta Fund Management acquired majority ownership of the refinery from Silverpeak and re-branded as Braya Renewable Fuels.
Since then work has been underway to convert the facility from an oil refinery to a renewable diesel producer.
The company anticipates initial production capacity of 18,000 barrels per day of renewable diesel, with plans to expand production capacity including the exploration of green hydrogen production.
