The CEO of the Indigenous Tourism Association of Canada says the local industry has really started to embrace Indigenous culture.

Keith Henry was in town earlier this week as part of the Hospitality NL Conference and Trade Show.

He has visited the province several times over the years, and he is seeing a “returning to the history of the province” that he hadn’t seen originally.

Henry would like to see the provincial government continue to invest and support local organizations, and encourage people locally to go out and explore local Indigenous cultures. He says there is a listing of such businesses on the Newfoundland and Labrador Indigenous Tourism Association website.
