Labrador is in for a thaw, but Cain’s Quest 2024 is ready to go.
Last year’s race was disrupted by unseasonably warm weather, forcing officials to cancel mid-way through. Organizers scrambled to put together a 2024 race in a year rather than the usual two-year planning period.
Temperatures in Lab West today will flirt with the double digits, but the warm-up won’t last long.
Once a cold front pushes through tomorrow, temperatures will once again take a plunge. That’s good news for the snowmobile endurance race, billed as one of the world’s toughest.
Events kick off today with teams checking-in, and a Fan Night celebration tomorrow evening.
Racers line up at Tanya Lake Sunday.
Teams can be live-tracked online.
