A new political poll shows that the majority of those asked are satisfied with the overall performance of the provincial government and the leadership of Premier Andrew Furey.
The Narrative Research poll shows 47 per cent of those asked are mostly satisfied with government, unchanged from the last quarter.
The highest support is in Central Newfoundland and the eastern portion of the island off the Avalon.
If a provincial election were held today, 43 percent of those asked say they would support the Liberal Party, with 33 per cent supporting the PCs and 23 per cent in favour of the NDP.
That represents a 5 point drop for the Tories since November , and a 7 point boost for the NDP.
On the question of leadership support, Andrew Furey’s popularity remains relatively unchanged with 1 point drop from November at 34 per cent, Tony Wakeham of the PCs has dropped 3 points in popularity while Jim Dinn remains relatively unchanged with a one point gain.
