A 23-year-old woman was arrested and charged after an assault in Massey Drive near Corner Brook.

RNC were called to the community around 3:00 yesterday afternoon and found a 28-year-old woman with injuries consistent with an assault.

The accused is facing charges of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm.

She was held in custody pending a court appearance.
