A young man from Corner Brook is facing impaired driving charges after an incident in the west coast city last night.
Police responded to the Wheelers Road area around 8:30 p.m. after receiving a report that one vehicle had struck another that was parked.
They say the 19-year-old driver showed signs of being impaired and, after being treated by paramedics for injuries from the collision, was arrested and taken to RNC headquarters for a breath sample.
Police say he failed that test and was subsequently charged with impaired driving.
He was released to appear in court at a later date.
Meanwhile, a traffic stop in Paradise early this morning also led to impaired driving charges, including refusing the breathalyzer, against another man.
His vehicle was seized and he was also released with a future court date.
