Four prominent women from this province have been named to Atlantic Business Magazine’s 2024 list of Atlantic Canada’s 25 Most Powerful Women in Business.
The fourth annual list was revealed during an awards gala in Moncton, N.B. on Thursday night.
Those included from this province are:
- Johanna Brown, founder and principal sales strategist with Rivet;
- Heather Dalton, partner with the m5 Group of Companies,;
- Taylor Giovanni, president and CEO of Oceanic Releaf;
- Jennifer Williams, president and CEO of NL Hydro.
The organization cites information from the Canadian Women’s Foundation, which states that women represent over 61 per cent of the labour force, but represent only 30 per cent of senior management.
They say contributions of women leaders are often overlooked in the corporate world, which is why the awards were established to “celebrate and uplift” businesswomen from the region.
