No matter the outcome, tonight’s championship game at the Brier in Regina, Saskatchewan will be one for the history books.
Newfoundland and Labrador’s own Team Gushue, representing Canada, will take on the hometown rink, led by skip Mike McEwen.
A win tonight would not only be Team Gushue’s third straight Brier win, but would tie the record for most Brier Tankard victories at six.
Saskatchewan has a shot at history, as the province has not won first place at the Brier since 1980.
Tonight’s championship battle gets underway at 9:30 island time.
