A fire at Central Dairies in the Donovans Industrial Park overnight caused extensive damage to a storage shed, but the main building escaped unscathed.
Platoon Chief Ed Sears with the St. John’s Regional Fire Department says firefighters were called to the area on Bruce Street in Mount Pearl at 11:23 last night.
They arrived to find the storage facility engulfed in flame.
“We were on scene for approximately five hours, there was no fire damage that had spread to the main structure, however there could be the possibility of some smoke inside, we’re not sure to what extent, but it was contained to the storage facility on the outside of the building.”
Massive fire in Donovan’s area. Not sure exactly where, but can see it from the Karwood roundabout. #nltraffic #nlwx pic.twitter.com/T1hRltrFjm
