Two people were arrested and charged during a traffic stop last week in Mount Moriah on the province’s west coast.
The vehicle was pulled over and police discovered that Terry Francis, one of the four occupants had multiple outstanding warrants for his arrest.
A drug investigation was launched, resulting in the seizure of more than an ounce of cocaine, approximately $7,500 in cash, a quantity of hydromorphone pills and other items consistent with drug trafficking.
Fifty-two-year-old Francis is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking, while 33-year-old Christine Williams was charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
The investigation continues.
