The state funeral for former prime minister Brian Mulroney took place in Montreal today.
Hundreds of invited guests filed into the Notre-Dame Basilica of Montreal in cold, snowy conditions to bid farewell to the former leader.
The guest list also included Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Andrew Furey and his wife, Dr. Allison Furey.

Mulroney died in a Florida hospital on Feb. 29 at the age of 84. He is survived by his wife, Mila Mulroney, and their four children.
The two-hour ceremony included a performance by Mulroney’s granddaughter, and concluded with a 19-gun salute.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Wayne Gretzky and daughter Caroline Mulroney delivered eulogies as part of the service, which was followed by a private burial.
