A 34-year-old Goulds man was arrested by Holyrood RCMP following a reported carjacking in Deer Park on Sunday.
RCMP were called on Sunday morning after a car was reportedly stolen at knife-point on Vineland Road.
The suspect, identified as Marcus Druken, and the stolen vehicle were located by police a short distance away. The victim of the carjacking was not injured.
RCMP say Druken did not go quietly, allegedly resisting arrest and assaulting two police officers while taken into custody.
Druken is now facing charges of robbery, resisting arrest, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and two counts of assaulting a police officer.
The investigation continues.
