The newest addition to Marine Atlantic’s fleet has arrived in Canada.
The Ala’suinu docked in North Sydney over the weekend after a lengthy voyage from China where it was built.
The brand new ship, which is set to begin servicing the Argentia run in June, will complete trips between Port aux Basques and North Sydney in the offseason.
The ferry, which replaces the Atlantic Vision, has the capacity to carry a thousand passengers and is equipped with over 146 accessible cabins—31 of which are pet friendly. There are also 40 passenger pods on board and a kennel for pets.
