Calling all Collegians.
Prince of Wales Collegiate is hosting a special fundraising event this weekend including entertainment, a silent and live auction and a bit of a reunion for alumni.
The school’s history dates back centuries, starting out as the Wesleyan-Methodist Academy on Long’s Hill back in 1860.
Since then the school underwent a variety of name changes and locations with the present school opening six decades ago.
School Council member Sonya Rideout says money raised will go toward a number of programs and activities at the school from academic programs to general classroom improvement.
Items included in the silent auction are some of the hottest tickets in town—donated by the Churchill Park Music Festival to see the sold-out Shania Twain show in August.
Tickets are available at the school or by email at pwcschoolcouncil2024@gmail.com.
