The provincial government is supplying half a million dollars in funding to the Canadian Mental Health Association to support mental health and suicide prevention training in the province.
The $550,000 in funding will allow CMHA-NL to continue its partnership with Lifewise NL and Richard’s Legacy Foundation for Survivors of Suicide Loss to provide training programs across the province.
Some 630 people previously attended the 62 training courses offered to-date.
The funding is part of the provincial government’s $41 million poverty reduction plan.
