Hurricane Ernesto has moved on, but not before dropping nearly 50 mm of rain on the metro region.
Environment Canada meteorologist Ali Jalali says St. John’s West had the highest official amount.
St. John’s West recorded over 52 mm, nearly 32 mm came down at St. John’s International, while the Southern Avalon saw just shy of 36 mm.
Ernesto has come and gone, but another system will bring showers to the island this evening and into tomorrow.
