The provincial government has launched a review of public safety measures in Happy Valley-Goose Bay.
Many concerns have been raised as of late about an increase in crime in the community. There has been a rally for greater safety measures and the mayor of the town recently came out asking for greater police enforcement, baying that poeple in the community are afraid.
Justice Minister Bernard Davis says the Policing Transformation Working Group will undertake a review of existing measures in the town.
The group will then develop recommendations on how to improve public safety and wellbeing.
The deadline for anyone wanting to provide feedback is September 13th.
