A serious collision has closed the Trans-Canada Highway near Clarenville.
The crash occurred around 2 p.m. this afternoon about two kilometres west of the town, but there is a way around it.

RCMP say the highway is still blocked in the area and is expected to remain that way for several hours.
However, they say traffic can bypass the collision scene by using Route 230, the Bonavista highway, and through the Town of Clarenville.
