Police have made an arrest in what they’re calling the “organized” theft of fuel from gas stations in the metro area.
RNC say numerous thefts of gas occurred between Nov. 8th and Christmas Eve, with stolen vehicles and/or false licence plates used to avoid capture.
Nonetheless, a 38-year-old man from Portugal Cove-St. Philip’s is facing dozens of charges for fuelling up without paying for thousands of dollars worth of gas.
His name was not released.
Police say they anticipate more charges and arrests as their investigation continues.
