Two men are facing a slew of charges after an assault involving a replica firearm at a home in the centre city area.

Police rushed to the home just after midnight after getting word of an incident involving a weapon.

Officers arrested two men at the property, one of whom was in possession of a replica gun. The 24-year-old has been charged with pointing a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disguise with intent, and forcible confinement.

The other man, an 18-year-old, faces charges of assault, forcible confinement, and disguise with intent.

The two were held for court.
