The RNC is investigating a workplace incident in which two people working at the capital city’s Animal Care and Adoption Centre on Higgins Line were taken to hospital.
Paramedics attended to two workers who were attacked by a dog that was being held at the shelter and were taken to hospital for treatment.
The facility was closed over the weekend while staff worked through the situation.
RNC say no criminality was involved and they are investigating as a workplace incident, and as inspectors under the provincial Animal Health and Protection Act.
