The air gateway to the west coast of the island has a new strategic plan to cover the next five years.
Deer Lake Regional Airport aims to increase passenger volumes by three per cent annually on average, and to grow non-aeronautical revenues over the five-year period by five per cent annually. The airport also hopes to implement new parking solutions aided by technology to create efficiencies.
The airport is going to take measures to improve terminal services in the highest priority areas, and implement an ambassador program.
They will do annual employee engagement surveys and use the information to make improvements to the workplace.
Deer Lake is Newfoundland and Labrador’s second busiest airport, behind St. John’s.
