The City of St. John’s expects to have all streets cleared from yesterday’s snowstorm by this afternoon.
Crews have been flat out working to clear more than 40 cm of snow that was dumped on the capital city.
Deputy manager of public works, Lynnann Winsor, is encouraging people to be patient as city crews work to clear the streets.
She says crews will be working “around the clock” for the foreseeable future. They have done an assessment, and expect all streets to be cleared and widened by 1p.m. today.
In terms of sidewalks, the city expects it will be more than five days before all areas are cleared.
