Metro police caught up with a man downtown St. John’s overnight who was suspected of committing a serious assault.
RNC officers saw the 24-year-old walking on Water Street just after 2:30 this morning.
He has been charged with assault causing bodily harm in connection with an incident on February 2nd in the downtown. He was also cited for numerous breaches under RNC warrants and for similar offences under RCMP warrants.
He is held for court.
