The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary has released more details about a crime spree that unfolded in the capital city’s west end Friday night.
The RNC first responded to a home on Waterford Bridge Road around 9:30 p.m. While there, they got reports of a similar crime unfolding at another home nearby. Not long after that, police received a report that a vehicle had been broken in to on Hamilton Avenue.
About an hour later, 47-year-old Darrin Bruke was arrested on Rickett’s Road for his alleged involvement.
Burke was held to appear in court on numerous charges, including:
- Break and enter
- Attempted break and enter
- Possession of stolen property
- Disguise with intent
- Three counts of trespassing at night
- Possession of a break-in instrument
- Mischief (property damage)
- Resisting arrest
- Three counts of breach of release order
