Snow storms in central Canada and the plane crash at Toronto Pearson on Monday have resulted in thousands of flight cancellations over the last week.
Air Canada says approximately 1,290 of its scheduled flights were cancelled over a six-day period.
The carrier is restoring service and adding extra flights and capacity to try to make up for the backlog, however continued delays at Toronto Pearson as the crash investigation continues is slowing flight recovery efforts.
Air Canada says it could take several more days, depending on weather, to return to normal operations.
