The PC health critic is urging the government to take action after he was once again sent pictures of what he calls “disgraceful” conditions in their hospital room.
Photos sent to the party by a cardiac patient show what appears to be water damage, dirt, and mould in the shower area of their hospital room.
This is the second time in the last year that Barry Petten has gone public with images he has received from patients. Photos from last year showed what appeared to be garbage behind a patient’s bedside table, as well as rodent droppings and traps.
Speaking on VOCM Open Line with Paddy Daly, Petten said the conditions are “not good enough.”
He says people are going to the hospital to deal with serious illnesses, and the conditions are “not good enough.”
