A bus shelter on Cornwall Avenue in St. John’s is no more after an SUV slammed into it over the lunch hour.
The vehicle struck the shelter and came to a stop when it struck a utility pole. Fortunately, there was no-one in the bus shelter, which was pushed off its concrete base and reduced to a pile of twisted metal.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
