A number of items were seized during a police search of a home in Port au Port West as investigators try to determine how a snowmobiler suffered serious injuries in an unusual incident last week.
The man had reportedly fallen from his snowmachine Friday afternoon while crossing Gravel’s Pond in Port au Port.
Police say the snowmobiler’s injuries are not consistent with a fall, and they’re trying to determine how the injuries occurred.
The incident occurred by the popular Gravels walking trail at the isthmus of the Port au Port Peninsula.
A home on nearby Front Road was searched on Tuesday.
RCMP are asking anyone with information or surveillance images from the area at the time of the incident Friday afternoon between 3:30 and 4:30 to contact them.
