A building supply company in Deer Lake has alerted RCMP after a variety of building materials, including bundles of shingles and siding, were allegedly fraudulently obtained from the business.

RCMP were contacted by Shears Building Supplies February 26th about an alleged fraud that occurred in November of 2024.

Police were informed that on November 25th, three men fraudulently obtained various building supplies and left in a white GMC pickup with a utility trailer in tow.

The materials, valued at close to $15,000, include bundles of IKO Marathon Plus Duel black shingles and bundles of KAYCAN siding in Cabot Red and Boulder Grey colours.

Police believe the suspects then sold the materials taken. Anyone with information is asked to contact Deer Lake RCMP.
