Premier Andrew Furey and Finance Minister Siobhan Coady are in the U.K. this week to meet with senior government officials and business leaders.
The province’s goal is to strengthen its connections in the U.K. and explore business opportunities.
Among the activities on Furey and Coady’s agenda are attending an event at the London Stock Exchange and meetings with High Commission for Canada in the U.K. Ralph Goodale, members of the Canada-U.K. Chamber of Commerce and representatives of various business sectors including oceans, fisheries, mining, natural resources and finance.
The premier and deputy premier will also visit Wandsworth Cemetery, the final resting place for a number of Newfoundland Regiment soldiers whose graves are lovingly tended by the students of Beatrix Potter School.
