Numerous people from within the Liberal caucus have come out in support of John Hogan’s bid to become Liberal leader.
After a week of contemplating the move, Hogan formally announced his bid to a packed room at the Hampton Inn and Suites yesterday.
Many Liberal MHAs and cabinet ministers were in attendance sporting stickers in support of Hogan, including Deputy Premier and Finance Minister Siobhan Coady.
She says she has seen Hogan “in action” both on the floor of the legislature and as a minister through various committees and other initiatives. Coady says he has an “overwhelming desire to see a better Newfoundland and Labrador.”
Hogan is the second person to jump into the race. The other is John Abbott.
