The Public Utilities Board is awaiting further information from the federal government as it gets set to adjust fuel prices to reflect the elimination of the federal carbon tax on consumers.
Prime Minister Mark Carney announced the elimination of the hated tax soon after being sworn-in.
That means big savings for consumers at the pumps come April 1, but the full extent is not yet known. On the surface, the price for a litre of gasoline would drop by about 17 cents.
The PUB says it is currently reviewing information made available by Ottawa, and needs more detail to determine the full impacts.
The board says it will release more information when it becomes available.
