It looks like some premiers across the country have benefited from the phenomenon known as the ‘Trump bump.’
Approval ratings have jumped for a number of premiers according to the latest Angus Reid survey, with NL Premier Andrew Furey leading the way at 68 per cent.
Furey is followed by Wab Kinew of Manitoba at 65 per cent and newly-elected New Brunswick Premier Susan Holt at 60 per cent.
Ontario Premier Doug Ford, who had languished with approval ratings in the low 30s for the last two years, won re-election after leading the premiers in a fight against Donald Trump’s tariff threats. His approval rating has now risen to 48 per cent.
